After what has been a shaky start, we finally managed to get Goldipox more or less running, and we decided to go 4 man RFC. It was a fun run, with a couple of wipes, but that can be expected from being not only a body short, but also underlveled for some pulls (we started at level 12). Much fun was had, loot aquired, and it seems we finally have a solid base to start doing this every weeks.

My prot pally dinged 70 yesterday… took me about half the time that it took my warrior. Now it’s time to start battling the RNG again. So far i’m 1-2: got my Dungeon Set 3 gloves on my first Shattered Halls run, but my two Botanica runs dropped the resto druid shoulders instead of mine.

Every once in a while i get bored and start experimenting with new mods. Last time i went with SpartanUI, but that hasn’t updated in a few months, and i feel that it may be dead, and thus will be unsupported for future patches.

So, i backed up my Interface and WTF folders and started fresh. I usually just start adding addons i feel may be interesting without much direction, but this time i knew more or less what i wanted:

• Good Visibility: I need to know when to move out of the fire, so i need to be able to see my character and the area around it.
• Lots of Information: I like to know what’s going on. What kind of damage i’m taking, what kind of damage i’m dealing, what debuffs i’m taking, etc. This usually conflicts with the first goal of keeping visibility.
• Plenty of Buttons: both keybind and clickables.
• Universal: it has to work for all my characters without much modification.

In the end i think i solved all the problems decently, and came up with an ok looking UI. It hasn’t seen any raiding yet, but it should hold up with no issues.

I’ve kept playing my prot pally, and he’s currently 67 and going strong. I hope to have him at 70 by the end of the week, and then i’ll have to get him a flyer, and he’ll be ready for some serious tanking.

I’ve done a few instances with him, and i really like the mechanics of pally tanking. It’s a lot less intense and stressful than warrior tanking, as loong as you have a good healer. although, i do have one complaint, but i’m gonna let Ollie with the pally tank report express it:

[Tankatronic Goggles] at level 62… the most OP thing i’ve seen in my time in the game.

My pally is at level 63 and tanking, and it’s a lot of fun so far. Can’t wait to get him to 70.
